Terms and Conditions for the Demian Maia Experience

1. General Information

These terms and conditions govern participation in the Demian Maia Experience, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) No-Gi event (the “Event”). By purchasing tickets, attendees agree to these terms and conditions in full. If you do not agree to these terms, do not proceed with your booking.

2. Event Organiser

The Event is organised by Gracie Barra Bradley Stoke Ltd (“Organiser”). All communication regarding the Event must be directed to the Organiser.

3. Event Participation

3.1 Eligibility: The Event is open to participants of all levels, subject to any restrictions noted in the Event description.

3.2 Code of Conduct: Participants must follow the instructions of the Organiser, coaches, and Event staff at all times. Failure to adhere to instructions or any behaviour deemed disruptive or unsafe may result in removal from the Event without refund.

3.3 Assumption of Risk: Participants acknowledge that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a physical activity that carries inherent risks. By attending the Event, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including injury, and waive liability against the Organiser and its affiliates.

4. Ticket Purchase and Payment Terms

4.1 Final and Non-Refundable: All ticket purchases for the Event are final and non-refundable. This includes payments made through Klarna, PayPal, or any other payment method.

4.2 Exceptions: Refunds will only be provided in the following circumstances:

• If the Event is cancelled.

• If the Event is rescheduled, and the new date is not suitable for the ticket holder.

4.3 Payment Processing: By completing your ticket purchase, you confirm that you have the authority to use the chosen payment method and agree to abide by these terms.

5. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

5.1 Organiser’s Rights: The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the Event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., inclement weather, venue unavailability, or public safety concerns).

5.2 Notification: In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, the Organiser will notify ticket holders via email or the contact information provided during purchase.

5.3 Refunds for Cancellation or Rescheduling: Refunds will only be processed if the Event is cancelled entirely or if rescheduling renders attendance impossible.

6. Liability

6.1 Limited Liability: The Organiser is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during the Event, except in cases of proven negligence.

6.2 Personal Belongings: Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. The Organiser is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

7. Photography and Media

7.1 Consent to Media: By attending the Event, participants grant the Organiser the right to capture and use photographs, videos, or other media of the Event for promotional and archival purposes without compensation.

7.2 Opt-Out: If you do not wish to appear in media, please notify the Organiser in writing prior to the Event.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

9. Amendments

The Organiser reserves the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes via the contact information provided.

By completing your purchase and attending the Demian Maia Experience, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
